Aged Care Network
The Aged Care Network is a collaboration of health professionals, carers, consumers and other individuals, organisations and groups. These groups have a diverse experience in aged care and a common interest in planning and developing aged and health care policy and services across the state.
The Aged Care Network works within the umbrella of WA Health's Health Networks (opens in new window). The Aged Care Policy Directorate provides secretariat and policy and planning support to the network.
Membership of the network is drawn from 3 key advisory groups which include all stakeholders, providing cross-sectorial representation and a good basis for establishing collaborative initiatives.
WA Aged Care Advisory Council
Established in January 2002 the WA Aged Care Advisory Council provides advice to government on the health and related aged care needs of older people in Western Australia. It oversees a systemwide, whole of sector approach to the planning and provision of state programs and services. A number of publications have been produced.
WA Community Care Reform Advisory Group
The WA Community Care Reform Advisory Group provides advice to WA Health in regard to the delivery of community care services. The group acts as a forum through which WA Health can share information, discuss issues and seek advice in regard to community care service provision.
Clinical Advisory Committee
The Clinical Advisory Committee creates a forum for the direct involvement of senior clinicians in the planning and delivery of rehabilitation and aged care health services in Western Australia.
